NOTHING LOST IN TRANSLATION
“The software is quick to download and setup, even if clients have never used it before.”
Geoffery Lee is in the gloablization business. His company, Sajan, provides language translation services to some of the largest companies in the world. When it’s your business to deal with people literally speaking different languages, you need a collaboration service that makes it easier to communicate, not harder. That’s why Sajan turns to Yugma.
“With Yugma, it’s much easier to get your point across. It’s much more like the person is in the room with you,” said Lee.
Sajan had used both Webex and GoToMeeting, but became frustrated with both because of downtime and expense. “Yugma just works,” said Lee. “The software is quick to download and setup, even if clients have never used it before.”
Sajan uses Yugma with their technical team to share and collaborate with developers in India. Their sales team also finds Yugma invaluable as a tool to demonstrate their product to clients.
Sajan has even turned some of their clients on to Yugma. “We work with a company that was paying more to use a competing solution,” said Lee. “A while back we used Yugma in a demo to them, and recommend it highly. Recently they got back in touch and told us they really like the product.”
MOBILE MARKETING FIRM THAT LIKES TO STAY PUT
“Yugma is a great tool for Mac users,” said Konko, “And it’s a great low cost option.”
QTags provides mobile messaging services to some of the largest brands in the world, including Microsoft and Accenture. They are located in Houston, but serve clients in the major advertising hubs, New York and L.A, and have an expanding client base overseas. So how does a company with a staff of two service clients spread across the globe? They use Yugma.
“Yugma helps us feel bigger,” said Jeremy Konko from QTags. “Yugma is very easy to use and set up, which is one of the reasons we liked it,” said Konko. “You can notify everyone and be in the meeting five minutes later.”
However, QTags doesn’t just use Yugma for meetings. “We create corporate applications and global apps with groups in the U.S. and overseas. We use Yugma to collaborate with our team,” said Konko. QTags has also found Yugma valuable when it comes to training clients and partners on their software platforms.
Originally QTags had considered other tools in the same space as Yugma, but found them too expensive and clunky to use. “Yugma is a great tool for Mac users,” said Konko, “And it’s a great low cost option.”
Saving money is crucial for any small business, and Yugma has enabled QTags to raise profitability by cutting down on travel, while offering better service to their clients by being available for important meetings on a moment’s notice.
“In meetings people hardly notice Yugma because there are never any problems,” said Konko. “The fact that no one says anything is an indicator that it’s working really smoothly. It never takes away from what you are trying to do.”
FINDING NEW WAYS TO INNOVATE
“We’ve found Yugma fits the way we want to work,” said Erickson.
Collaboration is essential to the way marketing innovation firm Zeus Jones creates unique solutions for their clients, so much so that all the employees sit around one giant table. That way ideas and discussions can flow spontaneously and organically.
The Partners at Zeus Jones never thought they would use a collaboration service to enhance the way they were already working. They had used tools like Webex at the advertising firm they all worked at together before starting their new company, and found them unreliable and hard to use. However, Zeus Jones found Yugma not only easy-to-use, but also found it helped them in unexpected ways.
“Meetings are the bane of real productivity,” said Adrian Ho, Partner at Zeus Jones. “No one gets actual work done in meetings. Where the real work happens is in smaller, spontaneous interactions.”
“When inspiration hits, you want to be able to share ideas on the spot,” said Christian Erickson, Partner at Zeus Jones. “We find ourselves leaving Yugma open all day long. That way we can show each other what we’re doing without having to constantly get up to see each other’s monitors.”
Yugma also helps Zeus Jones work more efficiently with their network of freelance developers and designers who often work offsite or in other cities. They use Yugma to brief freelancers on projects, answer in depth questions on the fly, and review in-progress work.
“We’ve found Yugma fits the way we want to work,” said Erickson. “That combined with how easy it is to use, and that it works great on Macs made it a no-brainer for us.”
